Hester Street (HST) is conducting research, evaluation, spatial visualization and documentation for a 3-year Collective Impact project funded by The William R. Kenan, Jr. Charitable Trust. A collaboration of The Metropolitan Museum of Art (The Met), Kenan Trust, New York University Tisch School of the Arts and a cohort of 19 other community and arts organizations citywide, the Kenan Project aims to develop a collective impact model for how arts-based organizations can serve as agents of change, activism and inspiration in New York City and advance equity for all.
HST will collect, analyze and disseminate impact data, and produce a multi-media presentation of outcomes and recommendations. And we will work with The Met in the development and implementation of a social practice artists residency program that fits within the collective impact model. We will collect data and input to assess the form and function of the program and will provide recommendations for its long-term implementation.
