In August, Together We Thrive: Black Business Network launched a new website, featuring a Business Directory listing brick-and-mortar Black-owned businesses throughout New York City, news, community resources, and inspiring stories.

Led by United Way of New York City (UWNYC) and developed in partnership with Hester Street, Together We Thrive is a coalition that provides Access to Capital, Networks and Technical Assistance to support Survival, Success & Sustainability of Black-owned businesses. Unlike other small business programs, this initiative provides wraparound services designed by and for Black-owned businesses. The goal is to strengthen the entire Black business ecosystem to promote self determination, reduce the racial wealth gap, and form connections to small business networks for re-imagined neighborhood infrastructure that emphasizes cooperation and collaboration.
