Kami is a Senior Project Associate at Hester Street with an interdisciplinary design and organizing background. She aims to use design as a tool to reimagine our current realities and create just and equitable futures.

She is a core organizer with the Design as Protest collective, a group of designers working towards design justice in the built environment. She focuses on mobilizing on the ground actions, creating toolkits, and building relationships with community groups to provide design support when needed. She also continues to explore design through freelance work, most recently supporting Creative Urban Alchemy’s project with BT Farms in Madison, WI.

Kami graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a B.A in Architectural Studies.
