Hester Street developed a training curriculum and provided capacity building support to Groundwork Hudson Valley – an organization creating sustainable environmental change in urban neighborhoods by building community-based partnerships for climate resiliency, developing youth leadership, and organizing for climate resilience – to bolster their community engagement, outreach, and stewardship.
Our team offered technical assistance to identify strategies and techniques to deepen community engagement, particularly public housing residents and residents Groundwork Hudson Valley does not typically engage; create a feedback loop with stakeholders to continue building long term community stewardship; and explore how to do engagement during the COVID-19 pandemic, including how to make engagement more inclusive and bridge the digital divide.
