Lisa supports community-based organizations and coalitions in fundraising and organizational and business development. As a consultant, she works with leaders on mission and vision alignment and messaging, marketing and communications strategy, board development, personnel development, fundraising and development strategy, grant writing for institutional support, and planning and implementation for individual donor campaigns and events. She was previously on staff at Hester Street, directing development and communications work with funders, project partners, and staff.
Previously, she managed the government-based fundraising of Make the Road New York, organized with youth in Quito, Ecuador on multiple youth rights campaigns, and was an educator. She holds a double B.A. in Spanish and Latin American Languages and Literatures and International Affairs with concentrations in International Development and Latin American Studies from the George Washington University. Today, she’s also the owner and operator of Sandbox Bakeshop, a small cottage bakeshop in Brooklyn.
