Description
Hester Street (HST) designed and built a mobile classroom to connect seniors, youth and public housing residents in Arverne and Edgemere, Queens with critical health resources, nutrition education and physical activity programming. Long-term partner Ocean Bay CDC (OBCDC) operates the classroom truck, a direct response to community needs and priorities for healthy food, healthcare and employment access as identified through our 2014 Envisioning Rockaways community planning process for holistic resiliency in the waterfront peninsula.
